Nokia Lumia 1020

The Lumia 1020 is the nokia's first phone comes with 41 mega pixel camera sensor with nokia's custom camera app. In the lumia 1020 Nokia pushes the camera with a combination of close-cropping capability and raw image capturing. The 1020 leaves most other non-professional photo-taking devices in the dust, making you jump with joy over the crisp, sharp, as perfect as life pictures that you click on the phone. Aided and abetted in its quest for camera domination, the camera comes with Optical Image Stabilisation that makes those annoying blurred edges a thing of the past and PureView technology that harnesses resolution, sharpness and clarity, captures the essence of life itself without loss in transmission – an unbeatable feat.

Nokia Smart Camera clicks a more number of photos in burst  mode and the recommends the best photos. Even you can mix and match elements from Normal shots to Perfect shot.Like the 16-megapixel Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, the Nokia Lumia 1020 is a niche device, the Lumia 1020 is pricier than most high-end smarphones that will make some salivate. Normal users may not venture from automatic settings and may not notice much difference in image quality unless they frequently crop photos tightly.

Design

The Lumia 1020 employs all the characteristic design elements of its predecessor(s).Nokia Lumia 1020 seems lightly or slightly thicker than the Lumia 920 and Lumia 928, both of which physically resembles. Honestly, the hump in its rear makes it a bit awkward holding and using the device at first, but after some adjustment, it doesn’t become too much of a nuisance – albeit, it still feels a bit alien. Sure, it’s top heavy due to all the hardware stuffed into its camera housing, but when we think about a 41-mega pixel camera, we’re surprised how light it really is, especially over the 808 PureView.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 has dimensions of 5.1 inches height and 2.8 inches wide and o.4 inch thick. It has the large camera module on the backside. At 5.6 ounces, the matte yellow, white, or black 1020 is hefty, sturdy, and undeniably solid. The Lumia 1020 has 1280X768 pixel resolution and 334ppi pixel density. Also its screen is super sensitive. Which means you can operate it with your fingernails and gloved with fingertips. Lumia has Gorilla Glass 3 which helps to protect phone form cracks. You will find volume, poower or lock, and the camera buttons on the right side of the phone. and the micro-sim card, and headset jack slot up top of the phone. And the micro USB charging is down on the bottom edge.

Camera

Lumia 1020 has both front and back camera and flash. The Back/primary camera is 41 mega pixel and the front/secondary camera is 1.2 mega pixel. It can recording 1920 X 1080 pixel HD video.  also you can capture same pixel HD snaps. This camera can record 30 frames per second. It has one Xenon flash which is used to click the photos with good quality and it helps to record video and capture photos during the night time. The pro cam app creates 5 mega pixel photos. It also saves a High resolution image of each one.By default the lumia 1020 takes photos using Nokia's Pro Cam app.Not to be confused with Nokia Smart Cam, Pro Cam gets you sliding controls for flash, exposure, ISO, and focus among other settings. Nokia Pro Cam is technically a "lens," a separate camera app that supplants the native camera. You can only capture the higher-resolution images using Pro Cam.

Hardware and Performance

Lumia 1020 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which is a Dual Core processor and the processor have 1.5 GHz clock speed. This phone also comes with 2 GB RAM, and 32 Gb internal Storage memory. It have no expandable memory. The battery of the phone is 2000 mAh and its Talk Time is 19hrs in 2G. and 13 hrs in 3G. The standby time of the battery is 384 hrs in 2G.

During our first day of using the Nokia Lumia 1020, we were totally shocked by the poor 10 hours of battery life it was able to churn out. However, we soon realized that the culprit behind the poor result was due to Windows Phone’s ‘glance’ feature, which discretely displays the time whenever the handset times out. After disabling it, we’re able to push the smartphone into the 18 hour mark of normal usage. It’s not bad per second, nor is it class leading – so it’s pretty much close to average.

Software (Windows 8)

Lumis 1020 is comes with windows 8 Operating system with Amber update. And all other softwares experience is no differ from its siblings. Simple, intuitive and amazingly easy on the eye, the Windows Phone 8 operating system on the 1020 lets your fingers flit around on it, performing actions with easy and letting you get pampered to how simple everything is easy to do. With more Live Tiles, tethering support, custom ring tones for different notifications, rotation lock and more nifty features, the OS takes the streamlined Windows experience to the next level.Overall, the Amber update doesn't do anything to address many of our complaints related to Windows Phone like the lack of a notification centre or the fact that platform is still not a priority for developers, as shown by the absence of apps like Instagram. Even popular apps like facebook, twitter, youtube that have a presence on windows phone its lack some features when compare to ios and android mobile.
